Our goal for the upcoming year 2013
                is to complete accessibility to good health care:

leaders meeting

A.   - Continued training of community representatives / leaders, such  as
a.     enriching communication with their members, their communities, develop contacts with local government and other local organizations.
b.    Co-op budgeting and financial controls, including fee collection method, basic book keeping
c.     Micro loan education

 

botequinesB. - Increase Co-op Responsibility for their Medical Services
a.    Pay for physician’s visits and expenses (doctor, transportation & medical supplies)
b.    Increase Community clinic support (registration, record keeping)
c.    Community & Clinic medical supplies – inventory & distribution
d.    Healthcare worker training (Promotores)
-       Selection of candidates
-       Expand on Training programs    
-       Continuing education

a.     Train the women in record keeping regardingtheit childrens health and education

a.      Continue to explore appropriate clean water resources for communities

 

G. - Financial Resources DevelopmentFor SIA
a. to support  monthly SIA expenses in Iquitos
b. to implement projects and programs, such as the communication system, clean water sources, women empowerment, continuing education for health care workers, financial training, and co-op initiated projects (currently: clinic floor and village bodegas).

Clinic in Santo Tomas– medical, dental, eye services

Distribute donated water filters to co-op members with clean water education

Health Post (Centro Fuerte) - strengthen relationship with co-op communities,  

Promotores Training – assess knowledge and training needs

Community Medicine Supplies (Bodega) – follow up

Community Visits – membership meetings, project assessment

Mayor of Punchana – general cooperation with SIA and cooperative

Advisory Board – expand on acitivties

Detailed Project review with Rosa & German
